International tournament operator PGL announced Monday the PGL Singapore Major 2026, the company’s second Counter-Strike 2 Major of 2026. PGL Singapore Major 2026 will take place from Nov. 25 – Dec. 13, 2026, and will feature 32 of the best Counter-Strike 2 teams competing for a share of a $1.25 million USD total prize pool.
The competition will feature three competitive stages, with the final four days taking place in the Singapore Indoor Stadium, in front of a live studio audience. Depending on its configuration, the Singapore Indoor Stadium has a capacity of between 12,000 – 15,000 people.
“Bringing the first Counter-Strike Major to Singapore is a moment that truly inspires us,” said Silviu Stroie, CEO of PGL. “This city has been home to some of our most memorable esports events, and we’ve always felt the energy and passion of the fans here. Returning now with a Counter-Strike Major feels like the natural next step. Our goal is to honor the legacy of Counter-Strike by delivering an event worthy of the community’s dedication and love for the game.”
Ultimately, the 32 teams participating in the competition from all regions will battle for a spot in a best-of-5 grand final.
PGL said in its announcement Monday that the PGL Singapore Major 2026 is a historic milestone, as it represents the first Counter-Strike 2 Major ever held in Southeast Asia and “a step toward expanding the competitive landscape of Counter-Strike beyond its traditional European and North American strongholds.”
This competition also represents PGL’s fifth esports event held in Singapore; in the past the company organized the FUT Champions Cup March Singapore, the Singapore DOTA 2 Invitational, the DOTA 2 Singapore Major, and The International 2022.
Tickets for the PGL Singapore Major 2026 “will go on sale in the coming months, with full details to be announced soon,” according to PGL’s announcement Monday.
