Riot Games and Globant announced a multi-year strategic partnership this week related to Riot’s fan communities across League of Legends and Valorant esports.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Under the terms of this new deal, Globant will serve as Riot’s “new digital transformation partner” and support the company’s exploration and possible transformation related to the use of “AI, esports viewing, and mobile integrations,” among other things. More broadly, Globant says it will also provide Riot with a myriad of services for its fan communities, such as content creation and management, streaming platforms, game development, art services, quality assurance, product management, ongoing live operations, and more.
“Globant shares our commitment to deliver the most resonate and engaging experiences for players and fans around the world,” said David Mulhall, global head of esports partnerships and business development, Riot Games. “Their deep expertise in technology will help us accelerate areas of the business so Rioters can focus on pushing creative boundaries of what’s possible in esports and live events.”
A publicly traded company, Globant (NYSE: GLOB), focuses on providing industry-focused, technology-driven solutions that “combine technology and creativity to accelerate enterprise transformation” using its various platforms, including subscription-based AI Pods and the Globant Enterprise AI platform.
