Krafton announced a new streamlined system to support third-party tournament organizers in hosting online and offline competitions around its popular mobile battle royale game, PUBG Mobile.
This brand new system promises faster approvals, easier license applications, multi-language support, official copyright protection, access to PUBG Mobile asset resources, promotion on the PUBG MOBILE social channels, and much more
According to the announcement, the new process for third-party tournament organizers has only a few steps: First, applicants submit tournament details, including prize pool, the nature of the event, etc. Once approved, applicants will request the official Room Cards.
The system supports online and offline tournaments (with or without livestreams), collegiate and inter-school competitions, show matches and scrims, community and grassroots tournaments, or simple events such as team-bonding or office competitions.
Those who receive the greenlight to run a tournament will gain access to Krafton-provided resources such as official copyright protection, access to PUBG Mobile asset resources, Esports Room Card support, spectator client access, live match data API integration technical support and anti-cheat tools, promotion on official PUBG Mobile social channels, and official opportunities for future collaborations.
