The National Football League (NFL) and Livewire announced this week that the tenth episode of its show, “NFL Race to the End Zone powered by Verizon,” will feature Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and Kansas City–based Fortnite content creator LEGIQN.
Both will head to GEHA Field at Arrowhead to see if LEGIQN has “what it takes” to represent the Chiefs in the season‑ending Fortnite tournament. To earn this spot, LEGIQN will have to “survive a Kansas City barbecue‑themed relay and keep pace with one of the league’s most electrifying wideouts on the field and in the game.”
New episodes of the show air on a weekly basis every Thursday at 2:00 p.m. EST on the NFL YouTube channels, along with select clips released on the NFL’s Instagram and TikTok channels. The goal of this season (which features a total of 21 episodes) is to build teams to compete in a Fortnite Pro-Am event during Super Bowl LX week, featuring 19 teams sponsored by Verizon.
Episodes released so far can be found on the NFL YouTube channel as well as DAZN.
Gaming-focused marketing firm Livewire announced the strategic multi-year partnership with the National Football League (NFL) to launch this new series in July.
On a related note, the Kansas City Chiefs is also the home to David Higdon, who joined the organization in January as its new executive vice-president of communications. Higdon previously served in multiple executive public relations and marketing roles at League of Legends and Valorant maker Riot Games, where he helped shape coverage for various global esports programs.
