Chinese electric automotive brand DEEPAL announced on Friday that it signed a sponsorship deal with Chinese esports organization Wolves Esports, becoming the official partner for its Honor of Kings team.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The Chongqing, China-based Wolves Esports Honor of Kings team competes in China’s top Honor of Kings competition, the King Pro League (KPL). It should be noted that the team has qualified for the Honor of Kings World Championship grand final and will face the Chengdu-based Honor of Kings team All Gamers (AG) on Nov. 8, at the Beijing National Stadium – The Bird’s Nest. The DEEPAL “S07” electric car will also be featured around Bird’s Nest during the Honor of Kings World Championship.

The League of Legends World Championship 2017 Grand Final was held in the Bird’s Nest, and the event was named one of the most significant esports events in history.

DEEPAL is a new electric vehicle brand from China’s Changan Automobile Group, one of the country’s largest automotive groups. It also has joint ventures with Changan Ford and Changan Mazda. This new deal marks the first time that Changan has sponsored an esports team.
