Nova Wallet and international tournament organizer BLAST announced the expansion of Nova Shots, its Counter-Strike 2-focused, free-to-play on-chain esports prediction game, for Asia.
Financial terms of this expansion to its current partnership were not disclosed.
Developed by Nova Wallet in partnership with BLAST.tv and powered by Polkadot, Nova Shots lets every player start with 1,000 free tokens, predict Counter-Strike 2 match outcomes in real-time, and ultimately compete for a $25,000 USD total prize pool paid in stablecoins through Nova Wallet – no cryptocurrency purchase required.
Nova Shots began its journey in Austin when BLAST introduced the game to fans through what it described as a “seamless, side-by-side experience within the Counter-Strike broadcast.” The game evolved in Malta, and had iterated by the time BLAST’s London event rolled around. Nova Wallet claims that Nova Shots drove 2.8 million on-chain transfers across more than 3,400 active accounts, and saw 21,000 new wallets opened during the BLAST Open weekend event window.
Following its successful runs in Austin, Malta, and London, Nova Shots will debut in Asia at BLAST Rivals Fall 2025, hosted at AsiaWorld-Expo, in Hong Kong from Nov. 12-16.
On a related note, BLAST announced that the partnership with Nova Wallet will continue into 2026, expanding beyond Counter-Strike 2 into other top-tier titles operated by the tournament organizer.
Nova Wallet describes itself as a “non-custodial wallet for the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystems, offering multi-chain asset management, token swaps, buying and selling of crypto assets, staking, governance tools, and an integrated DApp browser. “
