The Spanish Call of Duty Federation (FECOD) announced Monday that it has signed a key partnership agreement with Torneum for the development of a new competitive circuit that will run during the 2025/26 season in Black Ops 7.
Financial terms of this new partnership were not disclosed.
In case you are not familiar with Torneum, it is an international competitive tournament platform that focuses on providing its services to fans and companies in Spanish-speaking countries.
According to the release, the Spanish Call of Duty Federation selected Torneum as a partner because it has “established itself as a stable, competitive, and benchmark platform thanks to its tournaments across various titles and platforms.” Further details about this new circuit will be announced at a later date.
“Bringing back that challenge system is a goal accomplished,” said FECOD President Jorge Álvarez. “I believe the community is built by providing free opportunities with a fair system. It’s one of the best strategic alliances we could have forged.”
“The agreement between Torneum and FECOD represents a strategic alliance to strengthen the Call of Duty game in Spain,” said Torneum CEO Anna Requesens. “Torneum simplifies the esports experience, offering an accessible, dynamic, and professional space where you can also earn money by playing. With this collaboration, we want to support FECOD’s tournament structure and create new growth opportunities for the entire community.”
This new partnership follows the FECOD and Call of Duty League franchise team, Miami Heretics, announcing in September that they would create an “open and free professional circuit” to highlight and grow the Spanish competitive Call of Duty scene. This latest partnership is another part of that deal, with Torneum helping to provide the infrastructure needed to handle/organize both online and LAN competitions.
