Collegiate Sports Management Group announced Friday that it has signed an international licensing partnership with India-based company Acceler Edtech Private Limited, in what is being described as its inaugural licensing deal.
Financial terms of this new deal were not disclosed.
Under the terms of this new licensing partnership, Acceler Edtech Private Limited’s property, Asymmetrical Learning, will bring Collegiate Sports Management Group’s Collegiate Esports Commissioner’s Cup (CECC) May Madness and its collegiate esports ecosystem to India. Asymmetrical Learning will work with CSMG to “develop scholastic gaming infrastructure and competitive programming in India modeled on the highly successful CECC May Madness tournament in the United States, which now spans across more than 800 campuses and is entering its sixth official season.”
The new property will be called CECC India, with plans to launch in Spring 2026. Featured game titles for CECC India will be confirmed at a later date, according to the announcement.
“This partnership represents a major milestone in our mission to build scholastic esports globally,” said Michael Schreck, CEO of CSMG. “India has one of the fastest-growing esports and gaming communities in the world, and by bringing CECC May Madness to this market, we can help accelerate scholastic gaming opportunities for students while connecting brands, schools, and fans in new ways.”
