Twenty top Counter-Strike 2 teams set to clash in Malta in October.

Thunderpick World Championship 25 Counter-Strike 2 teams announced.

Online esports betting platform Thunderpick announced the teams that will participate in its international Counter-Strike 2 competition, the Thunderpick World Championship 25.

The Thunderpick World Championship 25 will take place this fall and feature 20 of the top Counter-Strike 2 teams in the world to compete.  The TWC Finals Closed Qualifiers will run from Sept. 9 – 11, to determine the teams competing at TWC Finals, a LAN stage event hosted in Malta from Oct. 15 – 19.

2024 champions The MongolZ will return to defend the crown, along with other top organizations including NAVI, Aurora, Ninjas in Pajamas (NIP), OG Esports, Furia, SAW, BB, ECSTATIC, TNL, Nemiga, BIG, ENCE, Paravision, KOLESIE, JiJieHao, M80, Team Legacy, Imperial, and 9z.

“As we enter our third year, the Thunderpick World Championship continues to push the boundaries of competitive Counter-Strike,” said Kelly Sanders, head of strategy at Thunderpick. “With top teams from around the world converging on Malta and the return of defending champions The MongolZ, fans can expect an unforgettable event full of high-stakes gameplay.”

Announced in May, Thunderpick World Championship 25 will feature a total prize pool of $1 million USD, with the Finals supported by presenting by partner Hotspawn and data partner GRID Esports.

Thunderpick is a competitive, gaming-focused crypto-gambling and casino platform regulated through a Curaçao gambling license. The company’s products and services are not available or legal to use in the United States, Canada, and the UK. In the legal disclaimer section of its website, the company puts the onus of compliance with local laws related to gambling on the end user.
