Esports betting platform Thunderpick announced that it has launched a new offering for consumers called BetPeek. The new platform is the result of a partnership with end-to-end esports betting solutions company Oddin.gg. Financial terms of that deal were not disclosed.
BetPeek, available only on Thunderpick.io, is being described as a “first-of-its-kind interactive esports viewing experience” that allows users to control how they watch live match streams.
BetPeek’s key features, according to thunderpick, include the ability to follow any player and “switch instantly” to the point of view of any competitor on the server; a “dynamic camera control” that lets users place the camera anywhere on the map during competitions, a feature called “X-Ray Vision” that promises the ability to unlock strategic insights by having the ability to see aspects of the match players can’t during competitions, the ability to pause and rewind using DVR-style controls, and integrated betting tools for more context and analysis.
“Traditional esports streams have barely evolved; they’re often one-size-fits-all broadcasts that leave fans wishing for more control,” said Kelly Sanders, head of strategy at Thunderpick. “BetPeek completely changes that. By putting fans in the driver’s seat, we’re delivering an esports experience that’s not just more engaging, but truly revolutionary for bettors and spectators alike.”
More details about BetPeek can be found at Thunderpick.io.
