Talon Esports announced Monday that it has renewed its partnership with Visa.
Financial terms of the renewed partnership were not disclosed.
Talon signed its original deal with Visa in 2024, but it only covered its Arena of Valor and Dota 2 teams. Under the terms of this new deal, Visa’s partnership will now include all Talon Esports teams on a global basis: Those teams include League of Legends, Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege, PUBG Mobile, and many other competitive rosters.
Talon Esports teams will prominently feature the Visa brand, and will promote it via social media video content, during competitions, and more. Talon will also work with Visa to to craft from behind-the-scenes access content and player meet-and-greets, hospitality events, gaming house visits, and limited-edition merchandise.
“We are thrilled to deepen our partnership with Visa and expand the collaboration to all our teams,” said Sean Zhang, CEO of Talon. “Visa shares our vision of delivering unforgettable moments to our fans and creating meaningful connections between players, partners, and communities. Together, we’re ready to bring the next level of engagement to esports audiences across Asia Pacific.”
Visa joins other Talon Esports partners and sponsors including Paris Saint-Germane, Flipster, Razer, MELBET, ExitLag, Secretlab, Monster Energy, ZOWIE, Thermaltake, AGON by AOC, Vaseline, Carnival, Chef Cares, and Certified.
Talon Esports took some heat last month after a private loan agreement between its co-founder and CEO, Sean Zhang, and investor Bainy Zhang surfaced on X (formerly Twitter)k. Bainy, founder of Fisher8 Capital, alleged that Talon still owes him $75,000 USD in unpaid interest tied to a short-term $1 million bridge loan dating back to late June. Ultimately Zhang and Talon Esports paid off the interest payment at the beginning of September.
