Los Angeles-based esports organization NRG Esports announced Wednesday that it has signed a new partnership with precision game controller brand Thrustmaster, a wholly owned subsidiary of Guillemot Corporation.
Financial terms of the new deal were not disclosed.
Under the terms of this new deal, Thrustmaster will serve as the official controller partner for NRG’s Rocket League roster. The Thrustmaster brands will also be integrated into the team’s curated video and social media content, activations, and more. The brand will also appear prominently on players’ jerseys and used during competitions.
The first fruits of this new partnership will be evident during an “exclusive bootcamp at Thrustmaster headquarters in Rennes, France,” ahead of the Rocket League World Championship in Lyon on Sept. 10.
Finally, Thrustmaster will be featured throughout NRG’s Mission Control broadcast series, Community Game Nights on Twitch, as part of its behind-the-scenes coverage from the team’s training camp in France, and a variety of custom content across social media.
“NRG Rocket League is all about competitive excellence and community,” said NRG Director of Business Development Hauk Nelson in a release. “Thrustmaster shares those same values. They’re not just giving us world-class hardware — they’re helping us level up how we connect with our fans, both online and in person.”
Thrustmaster joins other NRG sponsors and partners including AndaSeat, Theta Network, Rockstar Energy, Army National Guard, and Spectrum, among others. In addition to creating gaming focused content, NRG fields competitive rosters in Rocket League, Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, and Apex Legends.
