Southeast Asian game developer and publisher MOONTON Games announced that it has partnered with Esports Integrated to jointly launch the Guru Juara MOONTON Masterclass.
The makers of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang have teamed up with ESI, a national initiative under the Malaysian Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kementerian Belia dan Sukan Malaysia, KBS), to launch the new program.
The new program aims to “equip primary school teachers in Malaysia with digital game management skills and innovative learning strategies for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education.” The news was formally announced at a press event in Malaysia on Thursday, hosted at the Sri Putra Hall in Bukit Jali (the regular season venue for Season 16 of the MLBB Professional League Malaysia).
The Guru Juara MOONTON Masterclass program offers half-day workshops that provide teachers with hands-on guidance on digital game competition management skills, and an introduction to TinkerCad 3D design, which teachers can use to help teach students 3D design skills.
“Participating teachers will receive an official certificate co-signed by MOONTON Games, and ESI,” according to the announcement. The official Guru Juara MOONTON Masterclass certificate will also empower teachers to nominate student teams to compete in state-level tournaments such as the upcoming Selangor State Under-12 MLBB Tournament in December.
