GameSquare Holdings announced Thursday that it has extended its partnership with crypto gambling company Rollbit for an additional year related to its wholly owned esports subsidiary FaZe Clan Esports and its Counter-Strike 2 roster.
GameSquare signed its first deal with Rollbit in January 2024, and extended it in August 2024, with the betting platform signing on as the official sponsor of its Counter-Strike 2 team.
GameSquare puts the value of this renewed partnership at approximately $3.25 million USD in annual revenue, up substantially from the $1.74 million in its 2024 deal.
Under the terms of this expanded partnership, Rollbit will deepen its sponsorship of FaZe Clan’s Counter-Strike 2 team. FaZe Clan Esports jerseys will feature the Rollbit logo in the center patch position and will promote the betting brand in content, across social media, and more.
“This agreement underscores the strength of FaZe Clan Esports as the world’s leading esports brand and the value of GameSquare’s unique platform that brings together esports, media, and Web3,” said Justin Kenna, CEO of GameSquare. “By deepening our relationship with Rollbit, we are adding another record-setting partnership that enhances profitability and validates our strategy to build sustainable, high-growth businesses at the intersection of culture and technology. We see significant opportunities ahead as we continue to expand our global presence and align with partners that share our vision for the future of gaming and entertainment.”
This partnership continues to remain focused outside of America because Rollbit is not legal to use in the United States and U.S. territories as well as Aruba, Australia, Belgium, Bonaire, Curacao, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Netherlands, North Korea, Saba, Slovakia, Spain, St Maarten, Statia, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.
