Career-focused education and workforce development company Gameplan announced Wednesday that it is now providing Unreal Engine 3D Fundamentals Certification, which was developed in collaboration with Epic Games. Skills covered in this new certification program include game development, animation, virtual production, visual effects for TV and film, architecture and engineering extended reality (XR) and simulations, and interactive media.
The company said in its announcement that this certification is “an ideal credential for courses in game design, animation, virtual production, and digital art,” and can be used to “culminate a semester-long course or validate independent learning.”
An individual voucher for the certification will cost participants around $50 USD, though bulk and course pricing is available as well. More details on the program can be found here. Details on funding for the certification can also be found at the Gameplan web site.
Upsala, Sweden-based Gameplan describes itself as an “edtech company and curriculum provider,” owned by Learn2Esport Global Education AB. The company’s curriculum and learning platform offers a variety of activities including courses on esports/competitive gaming, game development, and STEM education aimed at both grade school and adult students.
