Esports viewership analytics provider Esports Charts and the competitive arm of geography‑guessing game GeoGuessr announced a new partnership on Friday.
Financial terms of this new partnership were not disclosed.
Under the terms of this new deal, Esports Charts will use its viewership analytics platform to deliver insights on upcoming GeoGuessr esports tournaments. The collaboration aims to give event organizers “clear insights into audience engagement and viewership patterns across events.”
Esports Charts also provides analytical analysis of social media engagement and brand exposure on streaming platforms, but it is unclear if this deal includes access to that kind of analysis. Esports Charts will provide a tournament dashboard data for the GeoGuessr competitions, giving organizers the ability to “track engagement trends, compare performance across regions, and make data-driven decisions for future events.”
“This year’s World Championship has been an incredible journey across four countries,” said Mikael Falgard, head of GeoGuessr Esports. “We extend our gratitude to the passionate GeoGuessr community, talented players, and all of our partners who made this possible. Our partnership with Esports Charts plays a key role in helping us gain valuable audience insights, allowing us to continuously grow and elevate the GeoGuessr esports scene.”
If you are not familiar with it, GeoGuessr is a popular geography game for iOS and Android devices that has enjoyed more than 100 million downloads worldwide since its launch in 2013. The company stepped up its competitive efforts this year, but made headlines when it was forced to back out of the Esports World Cup in Riyadh this summer after pushback from the community. Nevertheless, its competitive scene found popularity with fans and set some milestones with the recent GeoGuessr World Championship 2025, according to data collected by Esports Charts.
