DHL signs on as a major partner of Overwatch Champions Series.

ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) announced Tuesday that international delivery services company DHL has signed on as a partner of the Overwatch Champions Series.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The news was officially announced in a social media post on Tuesday.

DHL will make its presence felt as a partner of the league during Stage 3 competition, as teams compete to make it to the Overwatch Champions Series World Finals, this year hosted at DreamHack Stockholm from Nov. 28-30.

As a partner, DHL branding will appear on social media and promotional video content, during competition broadcasts, and across marketing material for the league. DHL will also work with EFG to create activations, segments, and more, including “DHL Delivers Highlights” featuring the “top-tier plays” of the competition; !DHL Drop, which will offer prizes to attendees of the event; and appearances by DHL’s popular mascot CARGO. Further details about DHL’s plans at the OWCS World Finals are likely  to be revealed prior to the event.

EFG launched the new league dedicated to Overwatch 2 in January 2024, following Activision Blizzard’s decision to shut down its franchised league, the Overwatch League, at the end of 2023.

DHL is no stranger to esports, and has been a long-time partner of EFG and its ESL Pro Tour.
