Esports organization Berlin International Gaming (BIG) announced this week that it has extended and expanded its successful partnership with high-performance gaming hardware brand Acer Predator.
Financial terms of this renewed deal were not disclosed. The partnership extension was supported and facilitated by leading sports marketing agency SPORTFIVE, who put together the initial deal.
Under the new terms of this deal, Acer Predator will continue to supply BIG with its gaming technology including gaming PCs, laptops, and display equipment. These products will be used in BIG’s esports headquarters in Berlin, Germany, which is also accessible to local customers through BIG’s facility cooperation with the Esport Factory.
The partnership includes all of BIG’s competitive roster, including its Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), League of Legends, Trackmania, and Fortnite teams. BIG recently signed star player Taylor-Petrik “Vic0” Gatschelhofer to compete in major Fortnite competitions.
Both companies will continue to work together on a content strategy to highlight new products and generally promote both brands working together; this will include behind-the-scenes content, athlete-driven storytelling across multiple platforms, and more. In addition to content, the partnership will also put a pronounced focus on direct community engagement by producing offline activations and hands-on product events. Finally, Acer Predator branding will appear on social media content and on team jerseys during competitions.
Acer Predator joins other BIG sponsors and partners including esports merchandise company UNLTD, German game skin marketplace company SkinBaron, gaming chair company Backforce, razor brand Philips OneBlade, peripherals brand Logitech G, Yum! Brands, Inc. restaurant chain Pizza Hut, and German IT services company BWI.
