The Call of Duty League franchised team Atlanta FaZe announced Friday that it has been rebranded to FaZe Vegas and will be relocated to the city in 2026. Current team members FaZe Simp, FaZe Drazah, FaZe 04, and FaZe Abuzaaah will continue to make up the active duty roster of the team for the 2026 season, according to the announcement.

There were some indications that the FaZe branded CDL team would be changing its name and making a move to Las Vegas when multiple reports last week uncovered an Aug. 18 filing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) showing off a potential logo and name change (pictured below). The new logo received mixed reaction from the community at the time it was unearthed. Also uncovered was a new mark for Minnesota ROKKR that would see the team be rebranded to G2 Minnesota (also below) to reflect G2 Esports’ takeover of the brand in late 2023 (the Esports Advocate reached out to G2 Esports last week about this potential rebrand, but the company did not respond as of this writing).

FaZe Vegas joins the Riyadh Falcons, who announced earlier this month that it would be moving the team to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and changing the team’s name from Vegas Falcons to Riyadh Falcons.
FaZe Vegas continues to be part of GameSquare Holdings, which owns and operates competitive teams under the FaZe esports brand. Atlanta FaZe was launched in 2019 after Atlanta Esports Ventures had purchased one of the first five franchise slots for the Call of Duty League and entered into a partnership with FaZe Clan to use the name in its branding. GameSquare took ownership of that deal when it completed the acquisition of FaZe Clan in March 2024. Earlier this year the company divested its remaining 25.5% stake in FaZe Media, an independent subsidiary established in 2024 and managed by FaZe Clan Founder and current FaZe Media CEO Richard “FaZe Banks” Bengston, but the company retained 100% control of FaZe Clan Esports.
