Los Angeles-based esports organization Sentinels announced a collaboration with anime IP Haikyu!! through a new deal with anime streaming platform Crunchyroll (a Sony Group Corporation company).
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The new partnership marks the first-ever anime crossover collaboration for the organization. The deal includes an exclusive collection launch on Friday (Aug. 22), coinciding with the organization’s playoff match debut in the VCT 2025 Americas Stage 2.
The Sentinels | Haikyu!! collection includes a variety of teamwear and lifestyle pieces, including two hooded sweatshirts, a short-sleeve graphic shirt, two performance jerseys, two sets of athletic shorts, and a custom-designed water bottle. The Sentinels VCT: Americas team will debut the collection live on stage the same day it is released.
“This partnership with Haikyu!! and Crunchyroll is a celebration of two communities built on passion, teamwork, and competition,” said Rob Moore, CEO of Sentinels. “Anime and esports share the same cultural energy, and we’re excited to give our fans a collection that unites those worlds in an authentic and meaningful way.”
You can find the Sentinels | Haikyu!! collection at shop.sentinels.gg when it officially launches.
In addition to competing in VCT: Americas, Sentinels field competitive teams in Valorant Challengers (Cubert Academy), Marvel Rivals, StarCraft 2, and Apex Legends. The organization also supports major content creators, such as former Counter-Strike professional player Tarik Celik.
Crunchyroll joins other Sentinels collaborators, partners, and sponsors, including Razer, ZOWIE, Starforge Systems, and Red Bull. In April, Sentinels teamed with Amazon MGM Studios and content creator Tarik Celik to promote the official launch of the feature-length action movie starring Ben Affleck, The Accountant 2. Affleck surprised fans by showing up at a Sentinels watch party.
