WaveClear adds new members to board of directors.

Israel-based developer WaveClear Ltd. announced Wednesday the appointment of Ohad Finkelstein and Jonathan Epstein to its board of directors. Finkelstein and Epstein join Waveclear Founder Yuval Gelbard on the board, with Finkelstein named board chairman. Bruce Hack also joins as board observer.

Finkelstein brings decades of leadership experience across technology, venture capital, and gaming. He serves as the chairman of gaming platform company Overwolf and as a strategic advisor to the CEO of Walmart. In the past he has held founder and managing partner positions at investment firms such as Danli Capital Ltd. and Marker LLC.

Epstein, who has been named director, is an industry veteran who has held executive roles at GameSpot, GameSpy Industries, IGN Entertainment, and CNET/ZDNet. Epstein will continue to serve as chief strategy officer of WaveClear.

Hack has served as an executive at some of the biggest companies in the world including Activision Blizzard, Vivendi Games, Technicolor, Universal Music Group, and Universal Studios. He is currently founder/CEO of BLH Venture.

“Expanding our board with these industry-defining leaders amplifies our mission to help millions or even billions strengthen the mindset skills they need to excel—initially in games, and ultimately in all areas of life,” said Yuval Gelbard, CEO and founder of WaveClear. “Their insights and networks will be invaluable as we move from gaming into other high-impact verticals.”

WaveClear officially launched a new AI-powered competitive gaming coaching app for PC called WaveClear in March. The app focuses on helping those competing in Riot Rames’ popular PC MOBA League of Legends. The company said at the time that it plans to expand to other games in the future. WaveClear is available for free on the Overwolf App Store and is financially supported through ads from the Overwolf advertising network. It requires no registration, personal information, or special permissions to use.
