The Azerbaijan Esports Federation (AZESF) announced Friday that it has signed an official partnership deal with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang developer and publisher MOONTON Games.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The organization said in a release that “this partnership marks a significant step in elevating Azerbaijan’s competitive gaming landscape through establishing a sustainable and structured platform for MLBB players, teams, and fans.”
Under the terms of this new deal, AZESF and MOONTON Games will work together to grow and support local grassroots talent, organize regular competitive events, and promote ML:BB as a mobile esports title in the region.
AZESF plans to host Azerbaijan’s inaugural official MLBB tournament in September, offering both online qualifiers and an in-person LAN Final event. The organization also plans to integrate MLBB into a newly launched “University Esports Circuit,” offering students across the country the chance to represent their schools and compete in structured inter-university leagues.
AZESF said that it is committed to establishing monthly community cups and campus tournament events, launch and operate training programs and streamer activations to “support aspiring players and creators,” and work with local telecommunications and technology partners to improve mobile esports accessibility in the region.
“This partnership is more than symbolic—it’s a commitment to the youth of Azerbaijan who have shown growing interest in mobile esports,” said Ogtay Gasimzada, president of AZESF. “We are proud to be working with MOONTON Games to provide structure, opportunity, and visibility to MLBB players in our country.”
