Team Vitality Partners With Stake for Counter-Strike 2 Team

The new multi-year, seven-figure deal will see Stake as a prominent sponsor of Team Vitality CS2 team.

Team Vitality partners with Stake for Counter-Strike 2 team.

Team Vitality announced a multi-year partnership with online casino and sportsbook platform Stake on Friday.

While financial terms were not disclosed, Team Vitality described the deal as a “major seven-figure agreement.”

Under the terms of the deal, Stake has been named the official international betting partner of Team Vitality’s Counter-Strike 2 roster, and will work with the organization to launch a “comprehensive activation plan” that includes marketing and promotional efforts including jersey placement, brand campaigns across social media, collaborative content production, and “exclusive access to players,” among other things.

“This partnership with Stake is historic: not only for its scale but also for its symbolic value. It reflects the success of our ambition to establish Team Vitality as a leading Global esports brand, alongside the biggest names in their respective industries,” said Vas Roberts, co-CEO of Team Vitality. “At a defining point in our Counter-Strike journey, this collaboration will allow us to create innovative experiences, offer exclusive content around our team, and support our CS2 roster as it reaches new competitive heights.”

Stake.com is a gray-market gambling site co-founded by Australian entrepreneurs Bijan Tehrani and Ed Craven. Stake and its founders also own popular streaming platform Kick.com. Stake is not available in a number of jurisdictions; according to

Section 14.3 of the Stake.com Terms of Service page:

“Persons located in or reside in Afghanistan, Argentina, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Cayman Islands, Colombia, Côte d’Ivoire, Cuba, Curaçao, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Liberia, Libya, Lithuania, Malta, Netherlands, North Korea, Ontario, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, South Africa, South Sudan, Spain, Sudan, Syria, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Zimbabwe (the “Prohibited Jurisdictions”) are not permitted make use of the Service. For the avoidance of doubt, the foregoing restrictions on engaging in real-money play from Prohibited Jurisdictions applies equally to residents and citizens of other nations while located in a Prohibited Jurisdiction. Any attempt to circumvent the restrictions on play by any persons located in a Prohibited Jurisdiction or Restricted Jurisdiction, is a breach of this Agreement. An attempt at circumvention includes, but is not limited to, manipulating the information used by Stake to identify your location and providing Stake with false or misleading information regarding your location or place of residence.”
