Content studio Mirage Digital and international esports organization Team Liquid have partnered to create a 24/7 live-streaming programming experience surrounding its World of Warcraft: Race to World First event on Roku.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Launched on Tuesday (July 22) via major OTT and FAST platforms, the channel promises to give “fans a new way to engage with one of the most anticipated competitive moments in esports and an always-on destination for elite competition and behind-the-scenes storytelling,” according to the announcement.
Mirage helps companies to repurpose, redistribute, and license their content across multiple platforms and territories, creating new revenue streams.
“This is a historic evolution in how we bring eSports to the world,” said Claire Hungate, president & COO of Team Liquid. “We’ve built a legacy on competitive excellence, and this partnership lets us showcase the heart, hustle, and humanity of our players in a way we’ve never done before—24/7, across every screen.”
In addition to its World Of Warcraft competitive roster, Team Liquid competes across multiple games including Chess, Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, Apex Legends, Valorant, Overwatch 2, League of Legends, PUBG Mobile, Rainbow Six Siege, and many others.
