Berlin International Gaming (BIG) announced Thursday that it has extended its partnership with Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA) men’s grooming brand Philips OneBlade for another year.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
BIG signed its initial deal with the Philips OneBlade in January 2022.
In the past, the two companies have worked together to reach younger audiences through contests, competitions, activations, marketing and branding, with a focus on promoting esports in Germany and finding ways to authentically engage with younger audiences. Under this new deal both parties will focus on continuing to engage younger audiences and focus on its competitive activities in Fortnite, while also promoting the brand through social media, content, and on team jerseys.
“With Philips OneBlade, we have a partner who shares and actively shapes our vision of sustainable youth development in esports,” says Daniel Finkler, CEO of BIG. “Fortnite in particular offers major athletic and strategic development opportunities. We are making conscious, extensive investments here, as the potential for reach and creative campaign formats is enormous. We look forward to continuing this journey together and supporting young talent in a targeted way.”
BIG currently competes in major esports games such as Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends, Fortnite, and Trackmania. The organization’s current partners and sponsors include Skinbaron, Logitech G, Pizza Hut, Predator, BWI, and die Bayerische. Earlier this week BIG announced that it had signed a three year extension to its partnership with Germany based gaming chair manufacturer BACKFORCE.
