GRID brings the next season of its Dota 2 tournament series to South America and Europe.

Berlin-based esports and betting data platform GRID Esports announced this week that its Champion of Champions Tour Dota Season 2 will expand into South America. CCT Dota Season 2 will feature a total prize pool of $400,000 USD, spread across two regions—Europe and South America.

The upcoming Season 2 will feature 12 events, with eight across Europe and four in South America. Online qualifying events (Series 1) will run from June 9 to April 2026. GAM3RS_X returns as GRID’s production and tournament operations partner.

Season 2 will feature eight events in Europe (with a $40,000 prize pool each) and four events in South America ($20,000 prize pool each). GSL format will replace round robin during the Group Stage of each event for Season 2. The Group Stage will feature two groups with four teams each, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Playoff stage. The four teams qualified from the Group Stage will join four teams that have been directly invited to the Playoffs into a double-elimination tournament bracket, culminating in a best-of-five (Bo5) final.

Breakdown of prize pool is as follows:

Prize Pool – Europe:

  • 1st place – $25,000
  • 2nd place – $8,000
  • 3rd place – $5,000
  • 4th place – $2,000

Prize Pool – South America:

  • 1st place – $12,500
  • 2nd place – $4,000
  • 3rd place – $2,500
  • 4th place – $1,000

More details about the event, including invited teams, will be announced at a later date.
