Riot Games announced Tuesday that the 2025 League of Legends Championship of The Americas will take place in Texas in September.
The official name of the tournament, the 2025 LTA Championship Driven by Kia, will take place at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas. The multi-purpose indoor arena (just north of the Dallas-Fort Worth area) has a seating capacity of around 6,275 fixed seats.
The LTA playoffs will see the top-seeded teams from the LTA North and LTA South conferences battle during the month of September, culminating in a final series of battles during the LTA Championship. Participating teams will also be fighting for a spot at the World Championship in China later this year.
“It’s an incredible honor for Allen, Texas, to be selected from cities across the country to host the 2025 LTA Championship, and that our very own Credit Union of Texas Event Center will be the stage for all the action,” said Baine Brooks, Mayor of Allen. “We look forward to welcoming competitors, teams, fans, and event staff from across the country to experience all that our community has to offer. Esports events like this bring high-energy entertainment to Allen and create a meaningful economic impact that benefits our local businesses and residents.”
AT&T will serve as the presenting partner of the LTA Fan Fest, Mastercard as the presenting partner of the LTA Opening Ceremony, and Kia as the presenting partner of the LTA MVP Award and the main naming sponsor. LTA North partners include Pagoda, Red Bull, Samsung SSD, Secretlab, and Uber; while LTA South partners are Heineken, Kia, KitKat, Mastercard, Nescafe Dolce Gusto, Sadia, and Pringles.
Finally, Riot announced that partner Mastercard will offer up to 1,000 presale tickets to cardholders on June 14, with general tickets going on sale June 15.
Other details about activations and fan events will be announced at a later date.
The League of Legends Championship of the Americas (LTA) is a consolidation of the LCS, Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends (CBLoL) in Brazil, Latin America South (LLA), and the League Championship Series (LCS) launched this year. The Esports Advocate detailed these changes last year in this in-depth report.
