Toronto Ultra renews partnership with Monster Energy.

Canadian esports and gaming company OverActive Media (TSXV: OAM, OTC: OAMCF) announced Friday that its Call of Duty League team, Toronto Ultra, has renewed its partnership with U.S.-based energy drink company Monster Energy.

Financial terms and duration of the deal were not disclosed.

Announced on social media, the renewed partnership will see Monster Energy be involved in team related activities including exposure during live event (including the upcoming CDL Championship 2025 in Waterloo Region – Ontario, Canada), during live online tournaments, meet & greets, activations including giveaways to fans, livestream content with Toronto Ultra players, loyalty rewards for Ultra Elite members (its fan engagement program), promotion on team jerseys) deep integrations on broadcasts, and marketing via social media.

Monster Energy has been a long-time endemic sponsor of the Call of Duty esports scene for nearly a decade; the company first partnered with Team EnVy and Evil Geniuses, and in 2021, it inked a deal with Call of Duty World Champion player Tyler “TeePee” Polchow. The company is also heavily involved in other esports scenes, as well as extreme sports—including Power Slap, NITRO CIRCUS, MMA fighters such as Dan Ige and Brandon Moreno, skater Kieran Whooley, mountain bike pro Lachie Stevens-McNab, and many others.

Monster Energy joins Toronto Ultra sponsors and partners, including Bell, AMD, Blacklyte, and SCUF Gaming, among others.

OverActive Media announced in March that Toronto Ultra would serve as the host for the 2025 Call of Duty League (CDL) Championships in the Waterloo Region (near the Greater Toronto Area), marking the very first time that a Call of Duty esports event will be hosted outside of the United States. The CDL Championship weekend is being supported by OverActive Media partner Bell and its CDL team, Toronto Ultra. The 2025 CDL Championships take place from June 26-29 at Kitchener Memorial Auditorium. The four-day competition will feature the top eight CDL teams competing for a piece of the biggest prize ($1.8 million USD) and the honor of the season.
