Thunderpick Announces 2025 Thunderpick World Championship  

TWC 2025 competition for Counter-Strike will have a total prize pool of $1 million USD.

Thunderpick World championship for Counter-Strike 2 returns in 2025.

Online esports betting platform Thunderpick announced the dates for its international Counter-Strike 2 competition, the Thunderpick World Championship.

The 2025 edition will feature a $1 million USD total prize pool throughout the entire season, with $850,000 USD dedicated to the finals. During the 2024 TWC, MongolZ beat HEROIC 3-1 in the Grand Final to be crowned champion and claim the lion’s share of the total prize pool.

TWC 2025 returns with Regional Series events in North America, South America, and Europe, culminating in a Tier 1 LAN Final to be hosted in Malta from Oct. 15 – 19. This year’s competition is presented by Hotspawn (financial terms of that deal were not disclosed).

The full 2025 event schedule is as follows:

  • TWC EU1: April 28 – May 7.
  • TWC NA1: May 8 – May 16.
  • TWC SA1: June 27 – July 2.
  • TWC SA2: July 8 – July 13.
  • TWC NA2: July 24 – Aug. 1.
  • TWC EU2: Aug. 5 – 14.
  • TWC Finals Closed Qualifier: Sept. 9 – 11.
  • TWC Finals Malta (LAN): Oct. 15 – 19.

All matches will be broadcast live on Thunderpick’s official Twitch channel.

Finally, Thunderpick said it has plans for a 2026 TWC competition, with details on that to be announced at a later date.

It should be noted that Thunderpick is a competitive, gaming-focused crypto-gambling and casino platform regulated through a Curaçao gambling license. The company’s products and services are not available or legal to use in the United States, Canada, and the UK. In the legal disclaimer section of its website, the company puts the onus of compliance with local laws related to gambling on the end user.
