Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus announced this week that it has signed a strategic partnership with TJ Sports for its upcoming Valorant Mobile esports competitions and activities. TJ Sports is a joint venture of game developer Riot Games and its parent company Tencent Holdings.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Bobby Jin, CEO of TJ Sports and Valorant Mobile China Publishing and esports director, made an appearance at OnePlus’ Ace 5 product launch event, and revealed more details:
- The strategic partnership will encompass technology, esports events, and marketing initiatives.
- OnePlus Ace 5 Pro will deeply bond with Valorant Mobile, and become the exclusive and official smartphone product for Valorant Mobile community-driven esports competitions in the second half of 2025. It will also become the official smartphone of the Valorant Mobile Shanghai Trial Play Session in June, and a Valorant Mobile competition in Qingdao in July.
On May 28, Riot Games and Tencent’s LightSpeed Studios announced that Valorant Mobile will have its first closed beta test on June 12. LightSpeed Studios is the co-developer of Valorant Mobile. It should be noted that LightSpeed Studios is also the developer of League of Legends Mobile, PUBG Mobile, and Peacekeeper Elite (The Chinese version of PUBG Mobile). OnePlus is also the exclusive smartphone partner of China’s top Peacekeeper Elite competition – Peace Elite League (PEL).
Both Peacekeeper Elite and Valorant Mobile are FPS Mobile games, and both are highly compatible with OnePlus.
