OBSBOT named an official partner of the Esports World Cup 2025.

The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) announced Thursday a new partnership with AI-powered camera brand OBSBOT for the Esports World Cup. OBSBOT is a camera brand owned by China-based company, REMO TECH.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but EWCF said that the duration of this new partnership will be two years.

Under the terms of this new partnership, OBSBOT’s technology will be integrated into the EWC’s production studios at the event, with the company outfitting player areas, streaming stations, and venue activations areas. The company has also been named the “official camera and webcam partner for Esports World Cup 2025.”

The Esports World Cup is set to run from July 7 – Aug. 24 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The multi-title, multi-week competition is funded by a sports grant from the Saudi Arabian government’s sovereign wealth fund, the Public Investment Fund. The Esports World Cup has received a fair share of criticism for helping the government engage in what critics call “sports washing,” or using various forms of sport and entertainment to cover up its record on human rights. These issues are regularly chronicled by international watchdog groups such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch.
