Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) announced Thursday that it has partnered with Chiliz Group-owned web3 sports app and wallet Socios.com.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Under the terms of this new deal, Socios.com will work with NIP to enhance its fan loyalty program, The Dojo by creating a specific fan token and providing a blockchain-based wallet. The focus of this deal will be on enhancing NIP’s fan loyalty platform by integrating Socios.com’s blockchain-powered tools to provide exclusive experiences, rewards, and opportunities, according to the company.
“Our fanbase keeps growing. With the addition of new titles, it’s much more diverse than it was just a few years ago,” said Hicham Chahine, NIP group founder and co-CEO. “Partnering with Socios.com allows us to bring our loyal Ninjas together in a fun and immersive way, while remaining flexible enough to keep up with the evolving pace of esports.”
Socios.com is owned and powered by Chiliz Group, a Layer-1 blockchain solutions company that works closely with sports and esports companies to enhance their fan communities. NIP joins other Socios.com technology partners including OG Esports, Alliance, Team Vitality, MIBR, Team Heretics, NAVI, FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Juventus, and Inter Milan, among others.
NIP describes The Dojo as the “ultimate members-only platform for our fans,” a “gateway to greatness,” and hub for where fans can create a customized avatar, compete in challengers, and earn rewards.
NIP currently competes in EA Sports FC, League of Legends, Rocket League, Counter-Strike 2, Apex Legends, and Rainbow Six Siege.
Ninjas in Pyjamas is part of the NIP Group, which is managed by co-CEOs Mario Yau Kwan Ho and Hicham Chahine, and is composed of Swedish esports organization NIP and Chinese esports group ESV5.
