Pennsylvania-based independent game development studio The Brain Trust announced that Nathan Edmonds has joined the company as a co-founder and chief marketing officer (CMO). In this new role as CMO, Edmonds will spearhead the global marketing strategy for the company’s new flagship esports management simulation game Esports Team Manager.
“We’re building Esports Team Manager to be the most realistic esports management experience ever created,” said Paul Capoccia, founder and CEO of The Brain Trust. “What Nathan brings to the table can’t be replicated. He has the experience, he has the vision, and he has the drive to make sure this game resonates with both esports enthusiasts and newcomers alike. We’re privileged to have him aboard.”
Edmonds brings more than a decade of experience in the esports space (with a focus on marketing and PR), having worked for such companies as Excel Esports (now GiantX), Hitmarker, Hotdrop, and Esports Insider, among others. He is also the founder and CEO of creative marketing agency Get In, which launched in early 2024.
Esports Team Manager is set for release on Windows PC in the fourth quarter of this year. The game is described as a simulation game with role-playing elements:
“Esports Team Manager offers players the opportunity to immerse themselves in the intricacies of managing a professional esports organization. From hiring coaches to managing team strategies and even adjusting stadium snack prices, the game provides a comprehensive simulation experience. Built on extensive feedback from industry insiders, it promises an authentic and engaging experience tailored specifically for passionate esports fans.”
