Organizers of the all-women Fortnite competition, the Milk Cup, announced Friday a new program called Milk Cup Academy, with the goal of helping women who aspire to be professional players access additional resources to practice, learn from pro Fortnite players and influencers, and get advice from healthcare professionals.
The new program consists of live question & answer sessions with Fortnite pros and content creators, esports health and wellness specialists, scrims to find partners, improve performance, and get feedback from pros including Khanada, and others, as well as Fortnite content creator ThePeachCobbler. Scrims will be organized by ThePeachCobbler and tournament organizer Raidiant on a monthly basis via Discord.
Be sure to check out The Esports Advocate’s interview with ThePeachCobbler, Raidiant CEO & Founder Heather Garozzo, and MilkPEP Senior Marketing Manager Jennifer Grubb, which was published today.Â
After finding success in 2024 with its inaugural run, the Milk Cup launched this week for its 2025 season. Open to women in the United States, this year’s competition features an overall prize pool of $300,000 USD—almost twice the total of last year’s prize pool.
Open qualifiers for Series 1 began on April 24, with the Main Event taking place on Wednesday. Series 2 qualifiers will open on July 3, followed by a Main event on July 10. Series 3 open qualifiers start on Aug. 14, with a Main Event taking place on Aug. 21. The season wraps up with a Fall LAN Championship, taking place at the end of the year (the 2024 LAN final took place in October).
This year’s format will see the top 50 teams from each open qualifier move on to the Main Event in each series (based on points earned). During the Season 1 and Season 2 Main Events, the top 15 teams advance, and during the Season 3 Main Event, the top 20 teams advance.

The Milk Cup is backed financially by Milk Processor Education Program (MilkPEP), a Washington D.C.-based organization funded by America’s milk companies and dedicated to educating consumers about the benefits of real milk for better health, including its nutritional value for gamers and its campaign to promote milk in the U.S., Gonna Need Milk. The esports competition is supported by tournament organizer Raidiant, content creator The PeachCobbler, with input and advice from Women of the eRena (Wote).
