Global Domination: Invasion, a new tournament series aimed at amateur and professional Counter-Strike 2 players, will launch on June 17. The competition is being operated through a partnership between Ultimate Gaming Championships (UGC) and Global Domination Events (GDE).
The online Group Stage play begins June 17, with the best-performing teams advancing to the Territory Finals in July for a chance to win part of $300,000 USD and advancement to the Live Championship in August. The competition is open to individuals and teams in Americas, Europe, and Asia—with each region competing for $100,000.
The three-day Live Championships event will take place at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, from Aug. 29–31, and will feature hardware provided by AMD and musical performances from talent producer Mammoth Live. The live event will feature a total prize pool of $1 million.
“To all the CS2 players and teams out there who know they have the skills to compete at the highest level, now’s your chance to prove it … and make some serious cash,” said Matt Jackson, CEO and founder of UGC. “And to all fans of live esports, come to Paycom Center this August to experience all the excitement and unforgettable moments of competitive gaming at its best, along with three days of amazing live entertainment. It’s going to be absolutely epic.”
