India-based esports and gaming company NODWIN Gaming has officially launched a company in the United States, according to public filings. The new company, a Delaware corporation, will operate under the name “NODWIN Gaming USA Inc.” NODWIN Gaming is a subsidiary of India-based mobile gaming company Nazara Technologies.
Founded in 2015 by Akshat Rathee and Gautam Virk, NODWIN Gaming is a gaming and esports company that operates esports tournaments, creates content, operates gaming and other fan-centric events and festivals, and more.
Speaking to The Esports Advocate on Wednesday afternoon, NODWIN Gaming CEO Akshat Rathee issued the following statement:
“As NODWIN Gaming levels up across the world, we have a presence in most parts of the emerging world. Our footprint is now in South and Central Asia (India/Dubai/Uzbekistan/Kazakhstan), East Asia (Singapore/HK/Japan/Taiwan), and Europe (Germany/France/Ukraine).
“As we move to a more tumultuous world, we believe gaming is an industry that may have a long-term robustness despite the near-term stress of layoffs.Â
“Having a toehold in the U.S. allows us to respond more nimbly to an ever changing world of business, investments, proximity, and relevance.”
This news is another indicator that while other companies may be curtailing their activities in esports, NODWIN Gaming is focused on growth.
The company has been expanding into new regions with acquisitions over the last several years, spurred by investments from Nazara Technologies. Those acquisitions include the agency business side of AFK Gaming, West Asia/Turkey-focused gaming/esports marketing agency Ninja Global FZCO, European esports and gaming marketing agency Freaks 4U Gaming, Singapore-based live events company Branded, Comic Con India, Ukraine-based tournament organizer StarLadder, and influencer and MCN business Trinity Gaming, among others.
