Ninjas in Pyjamas pros and staff go all-in on Red Bull Wings For Life Run.

Players and staff from international esports organization Ninjas in Pyjamas have pledged to participate in the Red Bull’s Wings For Life Charity Run in early May to support research for spinal cord injury.

The run will take place May 4 and will see participation from NIP players and staff including Counter-Strike 2 players arrozdoce, ewjerkz, f0rest, linda, sjuush, snappi, sprayxd, troels, and Xizt; Impact CS players aiM, natosaphix, nayomy, qiyarah, ramziin, and vilga; Young Ninjas players bluepho3nix, hechitikal, jocab, mahaR, misteM, rud, and zitte; Apex Legends team members amphy, gnaske, naghz, and raven; EA FC 25 pros Ollelito and venny; Rainbow Six Siege team members dan, fntzy, hatez, kondz, pino, and wizard; Rocket League pros itachi, nass, oski, and snaski; and Street Fighter 6 pros juicyjoe, phenom, and veggey.

“We are thrilled to be joining this incredible initiative, Wings for Life, for the third year, with a goal to have at least 100 participants from Ninjas in Pyjamas take part – including pro players, coaches and staff,” said Hicham Chahine, CEO of Ninjas in Pyjamas and founder & co-CEO of NIP Group. “In an industry that thrives within the digital world, it’s vital to maintain a balance between physical and mental wellbeing. This challenge not only shines a spotlight on that balance but also supports a truly worthy cause.”

NIP staff and pro players from all around the world will be taking part in the charitable run, starting at the same time (regardless of time zone). NIP participants will begin running for 30 minutes, after which a “virtual catcher car” will begin to race them. Their run will conclude once they hit their personal target or once the virtual catcher car reaches them—whichever comes first–according to NIP’s announcement.

NIP is also calling on its fans worldwide to “spread the word in running for those who can’t,” by signing up to run under Team Ninjas in Pyjamas, donating money, sharing social media posts that tag NIP, and generally cheering each other on during the run.

In conjunction with the run, NIP will also roll out giveaways, including a “Buy One, Get One” campaign drop on its fan engagement platform, The Dojo  (25 vouchers will be up for grabs).

More details about NIP’s Red Bull’s Wings For Life Charity Run can be found here.

It should be noted that in March, Ninjas in Pyjamas renewed its partnership with energy drink brand Red Bull. The companies initially joined forces way back in November 2022.  Ninjas in Pyjamas is part of the NIP Group, an esports and gaming company formed in 2023 through a merger between Ninjas in Pyjamas and Chinese esports organization ESV5, which includes eStar Gaming. NIP Group currently has operations in Sweden, China, Abu Dhabi, and Brazil.
