International esports tournament organizer BLAST announced this week that Dell-owned PC brand Alienware has signed on as a global sponsor of the upcoming BLAST.tv Austin Major.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Alienware has officially been named the official PC, laptop, and monitor sponsor of the upcoming Counter-Strike 2 competition, BLAST.tv Austin Major. The event, which has already sold out, is set to take place from June 19–22 at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas.

“For nearly 30 years, Alienware has pushed the boundaries of gaming innovation. That’s why we’re beyond hyped to team up with BLAST as the Official PC, Laptop, and Monitor sponsor of the BLAST.tv Austin Major, especially with the event taking place right here in our own backyard,” said Matt McGowan, GM at Alienware, in a release. “This event is a landmark moment for Counter-Strike fans, and Alienware isn’t just bringing high-performance gear. We’re bringing the passion, the grind, and the Texas-sized energy that make this a major moment in esports.”

In its role as an official global sponsor, Alienware will provide its 500Hz Gaming Monitors to players during the event. BLAST will also integrate the Alienware digital and physical branding into the event, and during live broadcasts, product placements, and on-site activations.

BLAST.tv Austin Major represents the company’s second Counter-Strike Major of the year, with 32 of the best Counter-Strike teams competing for a chunk of a total prize pool of $1.25 million USD over the course of three stages.

Teams participating in the competition include Team Vitality, MOUZ, Team Spirit, Aurora Gaming, NAVI, G2 Esports, Team Liquid, The MongolZ, Team Falcons, FaZe Clan, 2DMAX, Virtus.pro, paiN Gaming, Furia, MIBR, M80, OG, Heroic, Metizport, Nemiga Gaming, Betboom, B8, Complexity, Wildcard, NRG, Imperial Esports, Fluxo, BESTIA, Chinggs Warriors, Lynn Vision Gaming, TYLOO, and FlyQuest.
