National scholastic and collegiate-focused esports tournament, the Scholastic Esports Championship, is set to take place May 10 – 11, at the Boeing Tech Port Center in San Antonio, Texas, organizers formally announced this week.

The two-day event aims to bring more than 200 teams and 800 college and high school students together from across the United States to compete in a variety of games including Valorant, Rocket League, League of Legends, Overwatch 2, Call of Duty, Apex Legends, Halo, and Super Smash  Bros. Ultimate. These competitors come from all over the United States from local high school teams and national collegiate programs, according to organizers.

The competitions are being facilitated by tournament partners including esports tournament platform Rally Cry, collegiate D-I esports and high school-level conference EGF, collegiate esports conference NECC, the San Antonio Museum of Science and Technology (SAMSAT – a NASEF affiliate and organizer of the R20 Premier esports league), and sponsor the Army National Guard.

“We are thrilled to host the Scholastic Esports Championship in San Antonio, an event that not only highlights the incredible talent in the esports community but also demonstrates the power of collaboration within the scholastic and collegiate levels of play,” said Adam Rosen, a spokesperson for the event, in a release. “This is a great opportunity for students to showcase their skills and passion for esports on a national stage.”
