Ecommerce company Rokt and Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing announced this week that it has launched an all-women iRacing team as part of an initiative an expansion of “Rokt the Rig,” a program designed to “create more opportunities for female sim racers” and provide them with “professional coaching and the opportunity to compete in major iRacing events.”
The companies also said in their announcement that this new team is a way to foster diversity in motorsports and STEM, working alongside the Red Bull Racing Pepe Jeans Academy Program.
An open trial process for the team kicks off this month through Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing’s Discord community, giving selected drivers training to prepare for a summer race debut.
“We’re excited to take the next step in our mission to create more opportunities for women in sim racing,” said Elizabeth Buchanan, chief commercial officer at Rokt. “By combining Rokt’s expertise in technology with Oracle Red Bull Racing’s leadership in motorsports, we’re helping female drivers develop their skills and compete on a global stage.”
Rokt the Rig driver Annemarie D’Alessandro has already been confirmed as a key driver in this new team, with additional spots open for other potential women interested in participating. The team’s car livery was designed by a creative team composed of women and will feature Rokt’s team branding alongside Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing’s aesthetic.
Rokt is the official team partner of Oracle Red Bull Racing’s Formula 1 Team, Oracle Red Bull Sim Racing, and the Red Bull Racing Pepe Jeans Academy Programme for F1 Academy.
