North American scholastic esports platform PlayVS announced this week that it has signed a partnership deal with eyewear company Zenni Optical.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Under the terms of this new deal, Zenni Optical will serve as the official eyewear partner of the PlayVS Cup, the company’s annual national esports championship for high school students in the United States. PlayVS will also work with the company to create branded content starting with the “Road to the PlayVS Cup” series), marketing and promotion on social media channels, and more.
For its part, Zenni Optical will provide exclusive discounts to the PlayVS community, provide products for PlayVS Cup prize packages (for the winners), and help with scholarship prizes for PlayVS Cup finalists.

Based in the San Francisco area, Zenni Optical sells prescription, non-prescription, and protective eyewear (glasses and sunglasses) for adults and children at a modest price. The company’s other esports and sports partners include the San Francisco 49ers, Boston Celtics, Chicago Bulls, Monster Jam, Ghost Gaming, TSM, and more.
The PlayVS Cup in 2025 will feature competitions for Rocket League, Chess, Fortnite: Zone Wars, Hearthstone, Madden NFL, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, NBA 2K, Overwatch 2, Splatoon 3, Street Fighter 6, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. For more information on the 2025 PlayVS Cup, visit PlayVS.com.
