OverActive Media (TSXV: OAM, OTC: OAMCF), announced Thursday that it will host the 2025 Call of Duty League (CDL) Championships in the Waterloo Region (near the Greater Toronto Area), marking the very first time that a Call of Duty esports event will be hosted outside of the United States. The CDL Championship weekend is being supported by OverActive Media partner Bell and its CDL team Toronto Ultra.
The CDL Championship weekend will take place from June 26-29 at Kitchener Memorial Auditorium in Waterloo Region, Ontario. The four-day competition will feature the top eight CDL teams to compete for the biggest prize and honor of the season.

OverActive Media also revealed that the CDL Championship weekend will feature a 360-degree center stage setup, provided through its partnership with tourism bureau Explore Waterloo Region and telecommunications company Bell.
OverActive Media predicts that this event will “generate significant economic impact for the region by attracting local and international fans.”
OverActive Media fields a number of professional esports teams including CDL team Toronto Ultra; and Valorant, FreeFire, and League of Legends through its European division, Movistar KOI. In addition to Bell, OverActive Media has partnerships with AMD, Blacklyte, and SCUF Gaming, among others.
