Following Nova Esports’ win as the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 3 Champions, Level Infinite (a division of Tencent) announced the full competitive roadmap for the remainder of 2025. The announcement was made on Saturday by Level Infinite Global Esports Senior Director James Yang.
Level Infinite plans to invest $15M USD to build the Honor of Kings ecosystem globally and has introduced new leagues in six regions. The six new regional leagues are Philippines Kings League (PKL), Malaysia Kings League (MKL), Indonesia Kings Laga (IKL), Wildcard Kings League (WKS – covers such regions as Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Singapore, Brunei, Timor-Leste, Hong Kong, and Macau), Major East League (KME) and Major West League (KMW). They will join existing leagues, the King Pro League in China (KPL) and the Honor of Kings Brazil Championship (CHOKBR).
“Congratulations to Nova Esports on winning the Honor of Kings Invitational Season 3. What a historic moment to showcase the excitement and growth of Honor of Kings esports,” said James Yang. “We are also so excited to reveal our plans for the rest of 2025 and beyond, as we continue to build Honor of Kings into a truly global ecosystem. Whether you’re a casual player, university player, or professional player, we want to provide opportunities for all. Stay tuned, there’s plenty more exciting news on the horizon.”
Honor of Kings esports will feature two global tournaments in 2025: the Honor of Kings World Cup in July (hosted at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) and the Honor of Kings International Championship in November.
Level Infinite will also host a grassroots competition called the Honor of Kings Open Series, which provides access to players with no rank restrictions to compete. Level Infinite claims that it saw over 150,000 players from around the world sign up for Split 3. Details on signing up for the Open Series during Split 4 will be revealed in the summer. Honor of Kings is also providing competition for university students with the Honor of Kings Campus Series, a grassroots tournament series supported in 92 countries and regions, with a global prize pool of $100K.
