GameSquare (NASDAQ:GAME) subsidiary Stream Hatchet formally announced a partnership with Japanese game maker Capcom. The company said in a release Monday that its “technology and agency resources” were used to help support the global launch of Capcom’s latest Monster Hunter game, Monster Hunter Wilds on Feb. 28 on Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and Series S.
Under the terms of this new contract, Stream Hatchet leveraged its resources to help Capcom generate more awareness for the release of the game—Monster Hunter Wilds’ release is being described as “one of the most successful video game debuts of all time,” enjoying more than 1.3M concurrent users on Steam, ranking as the 5th highest in Steam history, and is proving to be Capcom’s fastest selling game. Stream Hatchet’s services utilized for the deal included “influencer discovery, talent sourcing, events production, and granular post-campaign performance analysis.”
“We are thrilled to be a part of one of the most successful video game launches of all time,” said GameSquare CEO Justin Kenna, in a release. “This contract with Capcom is a great example of the platform GameSquare and Stream Hatchet have created, highlighting our scale, technology, and best-in-class capabilities.
