The Esports Advocate (TEA), the leading destination for esports business and complementary gaming news, proudly announces that award-winning esports journalist Kevin Hitt has joined as editor-at-large, effective immediately.
Kevin is a seasoned journalist and editorial leader with a distinguished career spanning top publications such as Sports Business Journal, The Esports Observer, Dexerto, Rotowire, VPesports, and most recently, Sportskeeda. His excellence in reporting was recognized when he was named Esports Journalist of the Year in 2021 by the Esports Awards.
In his new role at TEA, Kevin will have the freedom to pursue the stories he believes matter most to the community—unfettered by the constraints that have previously hampered his work. This approach mirrors TEA’s mission of relentlessly pursuing the truth.
“The Esports Advocate is the only place in the scene right now where there is no agenda other than reporting the facts, which lets readers create their own opinions about what is happening,” said Kevin Hitt. “My entire career, all I have wanted is for the truth to be told and for esports and gaming to grow with people who truly want to see the genre prosper. I am excited to be back with James, Tobias, and Eddie as I believe they are the best in the business when it comes to reporting on esports and gaming news.”
Kevin is rejoining a dedicated team of seasoned journalists—all of whom have worked together in the past—including TEA Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief James Fudge, TEA Co-Founder Tobias Seck, and APAC Coordinator/Staff Writer Hongyu Chen.
