The Esports Trade Association announced this week that U.S.-based telecommunications company AT&T has joined its “preferred partner program.”
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but preferred partner program members generally pay ESTA an annual, lump sum fee.
“Joining ESTA’s Preferred Partner Program allows AT&T to support the business backbone of the esports industry,” said Matt Kutcher, channel expansion and partnerships lead at AT&T Partner Solutions. “We’re excited to provide ESTA member organizations with enterprise connectivity solutions that help them scale their operations and deliver better services to the competitive gaming community. This relationship represents our commitment to empowering businesses that drive the growth of esports.”
Under the terms of this new strategic relationship, AT&T will provide ESTA member organizations with “exclusive access to its business telecommunications services.” For its part, ESTA will provide AT&T with “targeted marketing campaigns, custom content creation, and direct access to key stakeholders in the esports industry,” according to the announcement.

In January ESTA announced that its next major conference, EsportsNext 2025, would take place in Dallas in conjunction with DreamHack Dallas. EsportsNext will take place May 22-23, at the Omni Dallas and is being presented by Coca-Cola.
