India-based tournament operator Skyesports and gaming festival the Indian Gaming Expo (IGX) announced a partnership on Monday that will see the two entities work together to host a multi-game esports tournament at Nesco Ground in Mumbai from Jan. 24 – 25.

Financial terms of this new partnership were not disclosed.

Organized by Hungama and Eva Live, the sixth edition of IGX will showcase esports tournaments, cosplay competitions, fan meet-and-greet sessions, panel discussions, game development workshops, awards, and more, aimed at gamers across the country.

“We are thrilled to partner with IGX for what promises to be a groundbreaking event for Indian esports and gaming,” Shiva Nandy, founder and CEO of Skyesports said. “At Skyesports, we have always been passionate about nurturing talent, building communities, and creating iconic IPs that elevate the esports ecosystem. IGX 2025 is a testament to the rapid growth of gaming in India, and together, we aim to deliver an unforgettable experience that showcases the best of competitive gaming while cementing the expo as something gamers and esports enthusiasts watch out for every year.”

It is unclear from the announcement what games will be played during the multi-game competition at IGX, but we assume they will be announced at a later date. On the esports section of the official festival website it notes that it will feature PC, mobile, and console esports competitions, 16 professional invitational teams, participation from 250 – 400 amateur-level colleges and schools, and a total prize pool of ₹30 Lakhs (roughly $34.6K USD).

More information about the event can be found at www.igxfest.com.
