Asian Champions League to Feature 2M Total Prize Pool
Chinese esports organization Hero Esports (formerly VSPO) announced this week that its multi-title esports tournament, the Asian Champions League (ACL) will feature a ¥15M RMB ($2.04M USD) total prize pool. The company also confirmed that ACL will be a part of DreamHack Shanghai in May, as reported first by The Esports Advocate earlier this month before Hero Esports’ official announcement. This is also the first time DreamHack has come to China.
The ACL will include competitions for Dota 2, Counter-Strike 2, Teamfight Tactics, CrossFire, Honor of Kings, and Delta Force. It should be noted that ACL’s Counter-Strike 2 competition will feature $300K prize money from a total $2M prize pool. The exact prize money for other esports titles has not been disclosed.
If you are unfamiliar with Delta Force, it is a first-person shooter game developed by Tencent’s TiMi Studio Group. The game was first released in December of 2024.
Tencent is a minority investor in Hero Esports, as is Savvy Games Group—which is wholly owned by the Saudi Arabian government.
