Bucharest, Romania-based esports tournament organizer PGL Esports announced this week that it has acquired game server hosting service provider Fragnet for an undisclosed amount.

PGL said in its announcement that this strategic acquisition is part of its “commitment to delivering seamless gaming experiences and enhancing its infrastructure to support the growing needs of the gaming community.”

“We are thrilled to welcome Fragnet to the PGL family,” said Silviu Stroie, PGL CEO. “Fragnet’s expertise in game server hosting perfectly complements our vision of creating unforgettable gaming experiences. This partnership opens up new opportunities for innovation and growth in the gaming industry.”

PGL added in its announcement that current Fragnet customers should not experience any changes or interruption in the services they currently enjoy. PGL did not disclose if there would be any executives or personnel changes at the company as a result of the acquisition.

In case you are not familiar with Fragnet, it charges customers a monthly fee to host servers for various games including Counter-Strike 2, Minecraft, Palworld, Team Fortress 2, ARMA, Call of Duty, Battlefield, and many other titles.

Fragnet currently offers services in North America, Europe, and select regions in India, Brazil, Australia, Singapore, and Japan. You can learn more about the services Fragnet provides by visiting fragnet.net.
