India-based esports and gaming company NODWIN Gaming has secured the rights to distribute The Game Awards in India, Myanmar, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Taiwan. This new deal expands on its rights deal signed with The Game Awards in 2023.

Financial terms of the extended deal were not disclosed.

In addition to bringing the show to more markets, NODWIN will also use additional platforms and avenues to distribute the show including television, OTT, through online platforms and through influencer channels in the aforementioned regions.

“As NODWIN Gaming continues to expand into new markets, we are thrilled to bring The Game Awards to fans across emerging markets,” NODWIN Gaming Managing Director and Co-Founder Akshat Rathee, said in a release. “Our goal has always been to bridge the gap between global gaming content and the youth audience in high-growth markets. NODWIN Gaming has been a long-time supporter and partner of The Game Awards and their commitment to empowering gaming across the world aligns perfectly with our mission to support and showcase gaming excellence internationally.”

Launched in 2014 by former games journalist Geoff Keighley, The Game Awards highlights new games coming to market through world -exclusive previews, and honors the top games, creators and even esports players and teams at its annual globally televised event. The 10-year anniversary edition of the show will take place on Dec. 12.

NODWIN generally focuses on facilitating gaming festivals and competitive gaming events in South Asia and the MENA region. Earlier this month it received a commitment of ₹640M ($7.56M) in investments from Gaming company Nazara Technologies, which will occur through the subscription of Optionally Convertible Preference Shares.
